QR Heaven for headstone makers and stonemasons
At QR Heaven we help headstone makers and stonemasons offer families a personal way to keep a loved one’s memories close. Our unique QR codes can be engraved directly into a headstone, connecting the memorial to an online tribute dedicated to the person being remembered.
We supply your QR code in the file format you require — EPS, SVG, DXF, AI, PNG, JPG, BMP — to suit your design and engraving process.
Each code links to a personalised memorial page where family and friends can upload photographs, videos, stories and treasured memories. A simple scan with a mobile phone camera opens the tribute, allowing visitors to discover more about the life behind the name and revisit moments that mean so much. There is no app to download, and the address behind the code is permanent.
What it costs
- £95 — the QR code, set up and supplied as an engraving file in your chosen format.
- £65 — added to the above if you would like us to create the memorial profile on the family’s behalf, using the photographs and memories they provide.
How it works
- Order the code and tell us the name, the dates and the file format you need.
- We set the code up, link it to the memorial page and email you the artwork file.
- You engrave it into the stone as part of your own design.
- The family builds their memorial page — or we do it for them, if that option was chosen.
By incorporating a QR Heaven code into your stonework you can help families preserve and share their loved one’s story, creating a meaningful connection between a place of remembrance and the memories they hold dear.

QR Code Engraving Disclaimer for Stonemasons
Please read before cutting
QR Heaven supplies digital QR codes linking to personalised online memorial pages. We undertake to check that each supplied code scans correctly and its memorial link is active before release. This assurance applies to the original digital file, rather than its subsequent reproduction on stone.
The stonemason is responsible for the suitability, positioning, dimensions and quality of any QR code engraved, etched, sandblasted or otherwise marked directly onto a headstone or memorial.
Before undertaking permanent work, please:
- Use suitable tools and techniques to reproduce the code clearly and accurately.
- Preserve the supplied pattern, proportions and clear space around the code.
- Ensure sufficient contrast between the code and the surrounding stone.
- Choose a size appropriate to the intended scanning distance, allowing the complete code to fit comfortably within a smartphone camera’s view.
- Test a sample at the intended size and, wherever possible, on the same material and finish before engraving the memorial.
- Check the finished engraving with several QR-capable smartphones before installation or handover.
An active digital link does not guarantee that every smartphone will successfully scan an engraved code. Results may vary according to workmanship, stone texture, reflections, lighting, viewing distance, camera capability and weathering. Internet access is required to view the online memorial.
To the extent permitted by law, QR Heaven accepts no liability for scanning failures, damage to stonework, or associated repair, re-engraving or replacement costs arising from a stonemason’s workmanship, changes to the supplied artwork, or unsuitable materials, sizing or positioning.
This disclaimer does not exclude or restrict liability for errors attributable to QR Heaven, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
