Gently Explained
What is a QR code?
A little square with a big purpose — and easier to use than you might think.
A doorway you open with your phone
A QR code (“Quick Response” code) is a square pattern of dots that a smartphone camera can read. Point your phone at the code on a QR Heaven plaque and it offers to open the memorial page — no app to install, nothing to type.
How to scan one
1. Open the ordinary camera app on your phone.
2. Hold it so the square code is in view — about 20–30 cm away works well.
3. A link appears on screen. Tap it, and the memorial opens.
Almost every smartphone made in recent years can do this with its built-in camera — iPhone and Android alike.

Why our codes keep working
Every QR Heaven code is engraved with the highest level of error correction, so it can still be read even if part of the surface weathers over time. And each code points to a permanent address that never changes — the plaque will still open the right memorial in years to come.
