What we collect and why
Order and account details (name, contact details, delivery address, order history) to fulfil your purchase and provide your memorial account — legal basis: performance of a contract. Memorial content you choose to add (photographs, stories, dates) — legal basis: performance of a contract and, where content concerns other people, your assurance that you are entitled to share it. Enquiry details from our contact form — legal basis: legitimate interests in responding to you. Payment details are processed by our payment provider and never stored by us.
Memorial content and the deceased
Data protection law applies to living people. Memorial content about the person who has died is published according to the privacy setting you choose (public, password protected or private), and you control it from your account at all times.
How long we keep information
Order records are kept as required for tax and legal purposes. Memorial content remains for as long as the memorial exists or until you remove it.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk). To exercise any right, email info@qrheaven.co.uk.
